Merry Christmas : Celebrating The Great Appearing

I want to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas from NoSuperHereos. Celebrate, relax, and enjoy the season when we commemorate “the Great Appearing”

——

Have you ever wondered why Jesus didn’t talk about grace?

There are many today that would like to discount the grace of God for this fact. They argue that grace is a creation of the apostle Paul. People say if you preach the grace, believers will do whatever they want.

Are these accusations true?

Jesus seems to preach the opposite of a grace message at times. He makes strong statements that could point to a work’s oriented gospel.

Jesus said, “You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect!” (Matthew 5:48)

Perfect?
How is that working out for you?
How could Jesus say this, when in our honest moments; we know this is not possible?

Jesus came to point people to salvation. The road to heaven requires perfection.

The difference with Christ’s message to that of every other teacher, prophet, or world religion is the way in which you obtain perfection. Both Jesus and the Law show us that it is impossible without a Messiah.

It simply is not possible to be perfect in every action, every thought, every word, every attitude, every…..EVERY! (And if you think you are, you just lied and are no longer perfect!)

Jesus does not point people to themselves and their efforts, He points people to Himself and His effort.

2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us, “For our sake he made Him(Jesus) to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.”

By faith in Christ, we are righteous.
By faith we are perfect. This is what the word righteous means.
Not of our own doing, but of Christ’s.

We are clothed with Christ, we wear Him. (Gal. 3:27)

Jesus didn’t talk about grace because he was(and is) Grace.

Titus 2:11 shows us this. “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people.”

What appeared?
No.
It’s WHO appeared.

As we celebrate the appearance of Jesus on Earth this Christmas season, we celebrate Grace.

Preach grace, because you are preaching Jesus.

The Grace of God appeared!

Merry Christmas!
